We helped this client furnish his New York City pied-à-terre, which serves as home base Monday through Thursday.
In the living room. the main objective was to make the best use of the space without breaking the bank. Another goal was to create some additional storage – a hot commodity in New York City. We purchased some of the furniture at a national retailer known for high quality at reasonable prices. The glass table in the living room serves dual duty as an end table, while also providing a place to have meals. The upholstered ottoman provides ample storage for extra pillows, blankets, etc. for overnight guests. Custom drapery was hung over the existing privacy shades.
A busy executive, this client needed an office space in an oddly shaped second bedroom. Small scale furniture was selected to fit the space – using masculine prints on the chair, area rug and custom roman shade to appeal to his taste. Our client is an avid triathlete so we hung pictures from his marathons, etc. along with some his framed sports memorabilia.
Custom drapery and upholstered headboard coordinate with bedding purchased at a large home goods store. Small scale furniture works well in this relatively small space.
